Zvi Alpern, MD


Dr. Zvi Alpern is an accomplished physician and teacher with more than 25 years in medicine. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and American Board of Gastroenterology.

After receiving his medical degree from Hebrew University’s Hadassah Medical School in Jerusalem, Dr. Alpern performed his medical residency at Boston University Affiliated Hospitals in Massachusetts. He later served as Chief Medical Resident at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester, Massachusetts. He then went on to win fellowships in gastroenterology at Boston Veterans’ Medical Center and the State University of New York at Stony Brook.

Dr. Alpern is Attending Physician and Consultant in Gastroenterology at St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center in Smithtown, New York. He is also Attending Physician and Consultant in Gastroenterology at Stony Brook University Hospital in Stony Brook, New York, as well as Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at Stony Brook University School of Medicine.

Dr. Alpern is a Fellow of the American Gastroenterology Association and member of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
